The China snub of Obama at the G20 summit dovetails with Philippine President Duterte telling Obama to “stay out of our business”.

The Philippines claim a group of 14 islands, inlets and caves and more than 100 reefs.  Discovered in 1843 by a British whaler, Captain Richard Spratly, 490 acres spread across 164,000 square miles in the South China Sea. Rich fishing grounds, yes, but the big draw is natural gas reserves and of course, oil.

Malaysia, Viet Nam, China, Philippines, Taiwan and Brunei all claim exclusive economic control of some parts of the Spratlys.  There are no natural resources other than fish and guano.

Taiwan and China are the only two countries claiming the whole of the Spratly Islands.  The French were the only colonial power to actually assert claims to Spratly on behalf of its then colony, Viet Nam.  In 1988 the Vietnamese and Chinese did battle over an area the Philippines recognized as Mabini Reef.

The French had previously given over claims, rights and titles to the Republic of Viet Nam which by 1988 no longer existed.  In 1999 a Philippine Navy ship, the former USS Harnett County LST 821 (Landing Ship Tank) was beached on the 2nd Thomas Shoal making it a permanent base.

In 1973 on the Island of Mindoro, me and Joe Clancy (our unit clown who I protected from the lifers) ran a Comm Wire to an old WWII LST, the Philippine Navy had renamed.  They had the coldest San Miguel beer I ever had in the Philippines and the Pinoy let me and Joe drink as much of it as we wanted while we were there.  We told him we wanted to take some back to our platoon in 1st Battalion 4th Marines but he wouldn’t give us any to go.

Yesterday,  China’s proxy finger-in-Obama’s-eye was fired by North Korea.  Three medium range missiles traveled approximately 620 miles and the technology is so similar to the Chinese JL-1 missile causing mass speculation.  Dr. Bruce Bechtol, a former member of U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency described it as “A solid-fuel missile just like the JL-1.  Just looking at them, they’re looking exactly the same.”

Of course Obama had someone who seemed to represent the United States come out to condemn the launches and call for a proper response and plans to raise concern at the United Nations.  China, for their part, has shown what they think of this loser, who the media has propped up.  It is so obvious today that 2012 was a stolen election and it may not have been his first.

Vladimir Putin endeavors to show the world what fools Obama and his ilk are with no agreement coming out of the talks on Syria, thanks in part to Hillary’s successor at the State Department.  Ras-putin (not to be confused with Rastafarian-ObamaChoom)  finally did shake the sun-setting Obama hand at the G20 Summit.  This crew of Democrats who are smarter than us, just ask them, have ruined every high point of American Foreign Policy which has been suspect since 1933.  We have had substandard diplomacy owing in full, to underhanded progressives seeking societal change on a global scale.  It is death and destruction for our way of life.

Next door to Syria is The United States’ most loyal ally in the Middle East, if not the world.  At best, it is a love/hate relationship with Israel.  Vladimir Putin has suggested a Russian version of Camp David with the present Israeli & Palestinian leaders.

How have we as a nation taken over the backseat in the bus (world)?  This is a basic question that needs to be asked of every single American.  We have political masters who, but for the want of power, have no other guiding principles.  Power is money – everyone in America understands this but when the public purse is run by those who would allow foreign entities to emasculate America from within, we all suffer.

The divisions sowed by Bill Clinton have come home to roost.  Cries in Detroit, cries from the very heart of a once proud, productive center of culture, an icon of America “NO NAFTA Boy!” while the “prince” of “I don’t feel nothin’, I’m in control and the media luv me,” walks along with a slack jaw as the people around him look at him to gauge his reaction, because they ain’t looking him through the camera.  The camera that has poisoned the political landscape of America giving rise to a tired class of talking heads.  Can we all get together now?   Remembering our  58,267 Viet Nam dead and hating the media as Americans.  How could we as Americans, permit the loathing that Bill Clinton had for the military infect our whole nation so as to allow our situation today?  There is no room other than a hospital or prison for the Queen of Benghazi and may I add, The Butcher of Extortion 17.
